WHAT: Luminary Hotel & Co. is closing out summer with live music, songwriter performances and chef-driven culinary experiences in downtown Fort Myers, highlighted by three events during the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. The 10-day Southwest Florida music festival features more than 60 performances by BMI singer-songwriters from Nashville and across the country, including free shows and special ticketed experiences.

Luminary Hotel & Co. kicks off its Island Hopper Songwriter Fest programming with PLATINUM-selling country duo LOCASH and rising country artist Alexandra Kay live at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater along the Caloosahatchee River.
LOCASH, the Nashville duo behind "I Love This Life," "One Big Country Song" and "I Know Somebody," brings its signature country sound to Fort Myers in support of its latest album, Bet the Farm. Opening the evening is Alexandra Kay, whose debut album reached No. 1 on the iTunes All Genre and Country charts and who has built a social following of more than 8.7 million. Island Hopper Songwriter Fest: Nate Bass Dinner Experience

The festival continues at The Workshop Culinary Theater with an intimate dinner and live performance by British singer-songwriter Nate Bass, lead vocalist of UK country trio Essex County and a rising solo artist on Nashville’s Music Row. The BMI songwriter has generated more than 5 million streams and performed at The Ryman Auditorium, London’s Palladium Theatre and Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon during CMA Fest.
The evening pairs Bass’ performance with a chef-curated three-course dinner beginning with poached pear salad, followed by a choice of salmon with pineapple salsa and confetti rice, airline chicken with tomato chutney and roasted herb potatoes, or a vegetarian entrée. Island Hopper Songwriter Fest: Free Pool Deck Concert

Luminary Hotel & Co.’s fourth-floor pool deck becomes one of downtown Fort Myers’ Island Hopper Songwriter Fest stages for a free evening of live music overlooking the Caloosahatchee River. Three Sips, Three Bites: National Bacon Day

The Workshop Culinary Theater celebrates National Bacon Day with a chef-curated tasting experience pairing bacon-inspired dishes with craft cocktails. The evening begins with bacon jam crostini with whipped goat cheese and tomato bacon jam, paired with a Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. Three courses follow: wedge salad “BLT” with a house Bloody Mary; bacon-wrapped dayboat scallop with sweet chili glaze and mango papaya salsa with a Pineapple Rum Smash; and ballotine of Poulet Rouge with bacon and wild mushroom farce, sweet corn purée and grilled asparagus with a Bacon Espresso Martini. Italian Dinner Night at The Silver King Coastal Kitchen
Every Wednesday through October 28 | 5–10 p.m. | $35 per person
The Silver King Coastal Kitchen brings the flavors of Italy to Wednesday nights with a three-course prix fixe dinner served throughout the restaurant. Guests choose from summer squash and corn bisque with crème fraîche and fresh basil or a baby gem antipasto salad, followed by house-made spaghetti and meatballs or an herb-crusted chicken cutlet with bruschetta topping, Pecorino Romano, baby arugula and smashed fingerling potatoes.
